Method
How we turn feeds into pages
Collected automatically
Each feed is checked on its own schedule, from every minute for earthquakes to daily for the impact list. Nothing is typed in by hand.
Duplicates merged
When several agencies report the same event, we merge them into one page and keep the most authoritative values.
Placed on the map
Every event is matched to the nearest town and country, so you can follow the places you care about.
Always credited
Every page names the agency behind its numbers and links back to the original record.
Spotted something wrong?
If a location, magnitude or date looks off, tell us and we will check it against the original agency record.
